Tottenham eye Andoni Iraola and Marco Silva as potential replacements for Ange Postecoglou

Tottenham are reportedly considering Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola and Fulham coach Marco Silva as potential candidates should they decide to part ways with Ange Postecoglou.
Spurs’ troubled season continued on Sunday with a 2-0 loss to Silva’s Fulham, marking their 15th Premier League defeat with nine league matches still to play.
Currently sitting 14th in the table, Tottenham still have a chance to finish the season with silverware, having reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League, where they face Eintracht Frankfurt in a two-legged tie next month.

However, growing fan discontent towards Postecoglou has followed another poor performance, with supporters increasingly calling for a change in management.
According to the Telegraph, Iraola and Silva are viewed as top candidates to replace Postecoglou should the Australian be sacked, with both managers impressing this season.
Bournemouth, currently 10th in the table, are just four points off fifth place – a position likely to secure Champions League football.

The Cherries have earned attention for their dynamic attacking play, including victories over Nottingham Forest, Newcastle, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Manchester City this season.
Fulham, meanwhile, are in eighth place after their late win over Spurs, and they are only three points behind fifth.
The report suggests Bournemouth would make a strong effort to retain Iraola, although sources indicate that he may be interested in the Tottenham job.

There are also questions surrounding Silva’s future at Fulham, despite his impressive work at Craven Cottage.
The article notes that Postecoglou’s job security could hinge on his performance in the Europa League, with victory in the competition ensuring Champions League qualification.
However, it also points out that there has been no indication that the former Celtic manager would be dismissed if Spurs fail to win the tournament.
Despite recent struggles, Postecoglou still has backing from the board, who are reportedly sympathetic to the challenges posed by the team’s significant injury crisis this season.
