Tottenham are in discussions with the Premier League about moving their clash with Aston Villa.

The match is currently scheduled for Sunday, May 18, at Villa Park, with a 2:15pm kick-off.

However, Tottenham are seeking a change in both the date and time, likely due to their potential involvement in the Europa League final, which is set for Wednesday, May 21.

The London club are aiming to end a lengthy trophy drought and could face either Athletic Bilbao or Manchester United in the final.

Man United will play Chelsea on the Friday before the final, which means they would have two additional days to prepare for the match if both teams reach the final.

The Europa League final will take place at San Mames in Bilbao, and a fixture change for Tottenham would provide them with extra time to prepare for the match, including travel to Spain the day before.

A club statement read: “We should like to inform supporters that we are in discussions with the Premier League regarding a change in date to our away Premier League match against Aston Villa, currently scheduled for Sunday 18 May.”
