Rashford sustained a hamstring injury in training last week
Marcus Rashford could return to Man United early amid injury blow

Marcus Rashford’s difficult 2024–25 season may be cut short, with Manchester United and Aston Villa reportedly in talks to end his loan spell prematurely.
The forward sustained a hamstring injury in training last week, which could sideline him for the remainder of the campaign.
Even if Rashford were to regain fitness in the coming weeks, he would be ineligible to play in Villa’s final fixture – against his parent club, Manchester United.

That leaves the May 18 clash with Tottenham as the only remaining game he could feature in, though he is now expected to miss that as well due to the injury.
According to The Sun, discussions are underway between United and Villa regarding a possible early termination of the loan deal.
The original agreement was set to run until the end of the season, but with Rashford unable to contribute on the pitch, both clubs may opt for an early return to Old Trafford.
Villa hold a £40million (€47m) purchase option as part of the loan agreement, but have yet to decide whether to trigger it.

That decision may hinge on Rashford’s recovery timeline, his willingness to stay, and Villa’s ambitions – particularly their pursuit of European football.
Rashford is reportedly keen to continue playing in the UEFA Champions League.
That could make Villa a compelling destination if they secure qualification, though Barcelona have also been linked with a potential summer move for the 27-year-old.
