Man United open talks with Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo

Semenyo has emerged as a key target for Man United

According to talkSPORT, Manchester United have opened discussions with Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo about a potential summer transfer.

The Red Devils are preparing for a crucial transfer window as they look to rebuild their squad following their worst-ever return in a Premier League season.

Strengthening their attacking options appears to be a priority, and Semenyo has emerged as a key target.

talkSPORT claims that the 25-year-old has already held initial talks with United officials ahead of a possible switch to Old Trafford this summer.

Semenyo, who is reportedly valued at around £70million by Bournemouth, has enjoyed a strong campaign, scoring nine goals and providing six assists in the league.

The Ghana international’s performances have not gone unnoticed, with several top-flight clubs monitoring his situation.

Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Arsenal have all been linked with the pacey winger, meaning United could face stiff competition for his signature.

Despite the growing interest, Semenyo only signed a new long-term contract with Bournemouth last season, keeping him at the club until 2029.

In addition to Semenyo, Man United are also said to be targeting Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, who is expected to leave the club following their relegation to the Championship.

United are also believed to be frontrunners in the race for Matheus Cunha, with reports suggesting the Wolves forward has a release clause in his contract.

Ruben Amorim is expected to receive full backing from the club’s new ownership as they aim to turn things around.

United currently sit 16th in the Premier League, but still have a chance to salvage their season when they face Tottenham in the Europa League final next week.
