Bayern Munich are reportedly growing tired of waiting for their German star winger Leroy Sane as he continues to mull over signing a new contract with the Bundesliga champions.

According to reports from Germany, the Bavarians have given the winger a deadline on Friday to make a final decision as Premier League duo, Chelsea and Arsenal, continue to monitor the situation keenly.

The 29-year-old recently switched his representatives to high-profile agent Pini Zahavi to handle the contract situation with Bayern, and Sane’s side returned with a counter-offer of a €12 million fixed salary plus €3 million in bonuses.

Despite the new turn of events, Bayern have decided to remain resolute in Sane’s contract offer amid new demands. Bayern are rather sticking to their original proposal of €10 million plus up to €5 million in bonuses and are unwilling to negotiate further.

The possibility of Sane moving to the Premier League now looks assured if no agreement is reached as soon as possible, with Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly interested in bringing the German winger back to England.

Despite his impact, Vincent Kompany’s side continues to remain firm, not meeting his agents’ demands for a higher salary. A stance that is maintained to avoid excessive wage increases in the future, even if it means risking the departure of a star player.

However, Sane’s brilliant season and decision to accept a possible pay cut reflect his desire to stay with the Bavarian side, but the introduction of a new agent and demands have complicated the ongoing negotiations.

Meanwhile, Bayern bosses are upbeat about keeping the German international in Munich, after being impressed by the player’s conduct and exemplary attitude on and off the pitch.

If Leroy Sane does not accept Bayern Munich’s contract offer by the Friday deadline, the club will have no other option but to let hi leave as a free agent when his contract expires in June.

This opens the door for a high-profile move, with Premier League sides like Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly interested in signing the German winger.
