Conor Bradley signs new long-term Liverpool contract

The new deal will keep the 21-year-old at Anfield until June 2029

Liverpool defender Conor Bradley has penned a new long-term contract, as the Reds continue to plan for life after Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The new deal will keep the 21-year-old at Anfield until June 2029.

It is a major boost for the Premier League champions, especially with the impending departure of their current first-choice right-back, Alexander-Arnold, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

The England international is widely expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Bradley’s journey began at Dungannon United before he joined Liverpool’s Academy in 2019.

He made his senior debut for the Reds in a League Cup tie against Norwich City in September 2021 and later that year appeared in the Champions League.

Bradley has made 27 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool

The Northern Ireland international spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Bolton Wanderers, where he helped the team win the EFL Trophy.

He returned to Liverpool last season, making his Premier League debut and scoring his first top-flight goal in a win over Chelsea. He also started in the League Cup final victory over the same opponents at Wembley.

This season, Bradley has made 27 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool and is expected to keep his place in the starting lineup against Brighton on Monday.

Bradley is the latest Liverpool player to commit his future to the club, following Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, who both signed new contracts last month.

“To sign another contract, I’m very proud and happy to see what the next steps on our journey together will be,” Bradley told Liverpoolfc.com. “You’ve just got to keep your head down and keep working hard.

“It has been a fantastic two years [with the senior team].

“Especially since coming back from loan and doing so well last year and continuing that on this year. It’s been really good. So, hopefully we can keep going and keep making more memories.”
