However, the report adds that there has been no direct contact between United and Wolves, which is viewed as mere formalities.
Cunha, who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford almost all season, has finally chosen to sign for Ruben Amorim’s side, despite interest from other clubs.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano had revealed weeks ago that United were in talks to sign Cunha from Wolves, with negotiations ongoing between the two clubs.
Cunha, who has scored 16 goals in 31 appearances for Wolves this season, recently expressed his desire to leave the club in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Despite his imminent move, the 25-year-old signed a new contract at Molineux in January, which included a salary boost and the introduction of the £62.5m release clause.
United have been struggling for firepower this season, and the signing of the Brazilian international could potentially boost their form upfront in the coming season.
