Nuno Espirito Santo to quit Nottingham Forest despite stellar season

Nuno Espirito Santo could potentially leave Nottingham Forest despite having had a stellar season in the Premier League.
Espirito Santo is reportedly contemplating leaving “The Tricky Trees” amid rising tension with owner Evangelos Marinakis despite an exceptional Premier League campaign in many years.
The Portuguese manager helped Forest escape relegation last season, holding on to a 17th position in the standings. Surprisingly, they have improved this season, punching above their weight.

Forest have secured a place in the top seven of the Premier League and have the chance of qualifying for the Champions League heading into the last game of the 2024/25 campaign against Chelsea on 25th May at the City Ground.
Despite their incredible form, the prospect of the Portuguese manager leaving is being talked about within the club, Foot Mercato reports.

Meanwhile, Relevo reports that the Italian side AS Roma are interested in hiring him, as they bid goodbye to veteran manager Claudio Ranieri as the season reaches it climax.
Espirito Santo and club owner Evangelos Marinakis recently had a heated confrontation on the field. However, the latter furiously denied there was a problem between them.
