Mykhailo Mudryk will receive a four-year ban for doping
Chelsea flop Mykhailo Mudryk charged with doping offences

Chelsea flop Mykhailo Mudryk has been charged with doping offences by the Football Association (FA) after the conclusion of all investigations and will now face a lengthy ban from the game.
Mudryk will be facing several months on the sidelines after being charged with a doping violation, which led to the Ukrainian winger losing his number 10 shirt to Cole Palmer.
The 24-year-old winger has been out since December 2024 after being initially suspended following a positive drug test.

The FA have now confirmed he has been charged and will potentially face a four-year ban, according to The Telegraph.
A spokesperson told The Telegraph: “We can confirm that Mykhailo Mudryk has been charged with Anti-Doping Rule Violations alleging the presence and/or use of a prohibited substance, in terms of Regulations 3 and 4 of The FA’s Anti-Doping Regulations. As this is an ongoing case, we are not in a position to comment further at this time.”
Mudryk tested positive for meldonium last year and has been temporarily suspended since news broke that he had provided a positive sample believed to contain a performance-enhancing drug meldonium.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have declined to comment on the FA’s final verdict today on the player.
Mudryk, on the other hand, continues to deny knowingly breaking any rules and will hope for some mitigating circumstances to reduce any ban meted out for his inaction.
In a statement uploaded on his Instagram in December last year, Mudryk said: “I can confirm that I have been notified that a sample I provided to The FA contained a banned substance.

“This has come as a complete shock as I have never knowingly used any banned substances or broken any rules, and am working closely with my team to investigate how this could have happened.
“I know that I have not done anything wrong and remain hopeful that I will be back on the pitch soon. I cannot say any more now due to the confidentiality of the process, but I will as soon as I can.”
Chelsea will continue to rebuild the squad in his absence. The winger who was signed from Shakhtar Donetsk for £89 million in 2023 has not lived up to the billing and has fallen behind the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
