Exclusive: Marc Cucurella explains agitation with Enzo Fernandez during Chelsea, Flamengo game

In an exclusive interview with FootieCenter‘s Thierry Nyann, Marc Cucurella addressed tensions that arose during the match, explaining that he had a straightforward conversation with deputy captain Enzo Fernandez.

Cucurella clarified that their discussion was simply about addressing defensive mistakes, emphasising the importance of open communication among teammates during matches.

“We speak because we conceded two easy goals and we tried to correct some things. Enzo asked me what is wrong and what we can improve, and that’s it. We can speak during the game. We are teammates and we can say if there is any problem, and everything is okay”, Cucurella told FootieCenter‘s Thierry Nyann.

Looking ahead, Chelsea are preparing for their final Group D game against Esperance Sportive de Tunis scheduled for Wednesday.

A victory in this match is crucial for the Blues to secure qualification to the knockout stages of the tournament.
