The online news portal claims that “a deal worth €53million plus add-ons has been struck verbally, with the 26-year-old indicating his willingness to accept the proposed move.”
Al Hilal have accepted Nunez’s wage demands.
Serie A giants AC Milan were interested and made an approach, but were unlikely to ever match these figures.
Liverpool turned down an approach from Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr for Nunez in January worth around €70million (£60m).
The Premier League champions were unwilling to sell Nunez midway through the season, as they competed for major honours during the second half of the campaign.

It is believed that the signing of Nunez is seen as a significant recruit for Al Hilal and the Saudi Pro League, with the club set to secure a player in the prime of his career, and for a reasonable price.
Darwin Nunez moved to Anfield from Benfica in 2022 in a deal worth up to €100m (£85m) after add-ons.
The Uruguay international has netted 40 goals for Liverpool across three seasons at Anfield.
He started just eight Premier League matches during their title-winning 2024-25 campaign.
Liverpool have been one of the busiest sides in the transfer market, having already signed Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, and Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Reds have also seen a £110million bid for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak rejected.
