Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly reached an agreement with Premier League rivals Newcastle United to sign midfielder Sandro Tonali for a fee worth £92.5 million plus £7.5 million in potential add-ons, according to journalist David Ornstein.
Ornstein adds that the £7.5 million add-ons will be based on Spurs’ multiple Champions League qualifications.
Tottenham have been very astute in their recruitment this summer under new manager Roberto De Zerbi. The London club have moved quickly to secure their summer signing, with Tonali becoming the fifth signing under the manager.

Earlier on Wednesday, multiple reports revealed that Spurs had improved their offer for the Italy international after having an opening bid rejected.
Spurs have wrapped up their second major midfield signing of the past 24 hours after reaching a £83.79 million agreement with West Ham on Tuesday to bring in Mateus Fernandes.
Since his appointment in March, De Zerbi has led Spurs in securing the signatures of Marcos Senesi (Bournemouth), Jan Paul van Hecke (Brighton), and Andy Robertson (Liverpool), and Martin Dubravka (Newcastle), and has reached an agreement with West Ham to sign Mateus Fernandes.

Despite initially standing firm over the 26-year-old’s future, Newcastle ultimately succumbed after the midfielder made his desire to leave clear.
The deal will also represent a healthy return on their investment, having paid approximately £50.46 million to bring the Italian midfielder to the club.
Tottenham’s spending spree has shattered the club’s record books in just 48 hours. Fernandes’ £83.79 million move, though yet to be officially confirmed, briefly stood as the club’s biggest-ever signing before Tonali’s blockbuster transfer surpassed it.
