Crystal Palace close to £48m deal for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen

Crystal Palace are set to complete a £48 million deal for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, with the Norwegian already through with his medical ahead of the move.
Palace are set to pay a guaranteed £43 million plus £5 million in add-ons for Wolves’ Strand Larsen as Jean-Philippe Mateta’s replacement.
Metata has been linked with a move to Italian Serie A side AC Milan; however, the I Rossoneri are still evaluating whether to proceed with the deal for the French striker.

Milan will send a club doctor to examine Mateta on Monday before finalising the transfer, with the window closing at 7 pm UK time for both English and Italian clubs.
Mateta, 28, has already indicated to the Palace hierarchy his desire to ply his trade elsewhere, just days after the Eagles boss Oliver Glasner officially announced his departure from the club at the end of the current Premier League season.
There are signs that Milan are not too convinced of getting a deal over the line for the French international before the transfer window closes, considering that Christopher Nkunku does not want to leave.

Nkunku was signed by Milan from Chelsea for £36 million last summer and does not want to move to Roma or Fenerbahce as it stands.
At the moment, the deal is progressing smoothly despite Milan holding off until deadline day to finalise their decision on signing Mateta.
That move would clear the path for Mateta to join Milan. An agreement was already in place for the transfer, and Palace had given him the green light to complete his medical.
