Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has signed a deal at the club that will keep him with the La Liga champions until the summer of 2028. The renewed agreement includes an option to extend the contract for an additional year through 2029.
The contract extension comes on the back of the German manager’s remarkable impact since arriving two seasons ago, having guided the club to successive La Liga titles during an impressive spell in charge.
Barcelona were believed to be closing in on Hansi Flick’s contract renewal in the early days of May, but now, both parties have found a resolution on continuing a bond that has started on a remarkable note.

After delivering another league title in just two seasons at the helm, the German coach has further strengthened the confidence and support he enjoys from the club’s hierarchy.
The Catalan club has now officially confirmed the contract extension, which is set to expire in the summer of 2028, with a one-year further option.

In just two seasons in charge of the Blaugrana, he has lifted five of the eight trophies available to him, including two league titles, two Spanish Super Cups and a Copa del Rey crown.
He now prepares to oversee a new phase of transition at the club, with several departures expected and incoming signings needing to adapt quickly to the demanding philosophy of the former Bayern Munich manager, who has seamlessly embedded himself into Barcelona’s footballing identity.
