Klopp has no intention of taking on a head coach role next season

Jurgen Klopp’s agent, Marc Kosicke, has poured cold water on speculation linking the former Liverpool boss to managerial roles at Real Madrid and the Brazil national team.

There continues to be strong interest and enquiries about Klopp from top clubs and several national federations.

However, Klopp has no intention of taking on a head coach role next season – not even at Real Madrid or with the Brazil national team.

Xabi Alonso remains Real Madrid’s top target for the managerial position.

“Jürgen is very happy with his new role as Head of Global Soccer at Red Bull”, Kosicke told Sky Germany.

“He’s fully focused and happy there”.

Jurgen Klopp’s experience in managing a high-pressure environment, coupled with his ability to develop a cohesive team, made him a leading contender for the Madrid role.

The 57-year-old only recently took on a new role as Red Bull’s global head of soccer in January.

The reigning European champions were knocked out at the quarter-final stage after a 2-1 defeat to the Gunners on Wednesday night.

In the aftermath of the loss, Ancelotti cast doubt on his future by hinting that his time at the Santiago Bernabéu may be coming to an end.

Ancelotti said: “It could be this year, next year when my contract runs out. There’s no problem about it.

“But when I am done here, I will be grateful to this club. It could be tomorrow, in one year, or in 10 years, but I will be grateful to this club. And that’s it. Full stop.

“We have done very well in the last seasons but this year we have had to suffer. Things haven’t gone as expected but in sport in happen because there are no unbeatable teams.”
