Nations FC hold off Aduana Stars to reach MTN FA Cup final

Nations FC have booked their place in the MTN FA Cup final after a narrow 1-0 victory over Aduana Stars on Friday.

Both teams approached the semi-final with determination, naming strong line-ups in their quest for a spot in the final.
Nations FC made the brighter start and found the breakthrough just eight minutes into the game, with Annor’s well-taken effort proving the difference in a tightly contested encounter.
Aduana Stars responded strongly and grew into the game, dominating large spells in search of an equaliser.
On the 44th minute, Benjamin threaded a beautiful through ball, but Razak Simpson read the danger well and stepped in to intercept.
After the break, Aduana continued to press. Abubakar Adams delivered a dangerous cross into the box, but there was no one to apply the finishing touch.
Nations FC nearly doubled their lead in the 74th minute, but Prince Osei produced a brilliant save to deny them and keep Aduana in the contest.
Despite Aduana’s sustained pressure, Nations FC’s disciplined defence held firm to protect their slender lead and secure qualification to the final.
