Ruben Amorim welcomes Rashford’s Villa revival amid Man Utd loan exodus

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has labelled Marcus Rashford’s loan spell at Aston Villa as “good news,” following the forward’s positive performances.
Rashford netted his first goals for Villa in a 3-0 FA Cup quarter-final win over Championship side Preston North End on Sunday.
The 27-year-old had struggled for game time at United, being left out of 11 out of 12 matchday squads before making the move to Villa on the penultimate day of the winter transfer window.

United, currently competing in the Champions League quarter-finals, are covering 75% of Rashford’s £325,000 weekly salary.
There is also an option for Villa to make the deal permanent in the summer for a reported £40million.
Rashford’s omission from the United squad first came against Manchester City on December 15, when he and fellow forward Alejandro Garnacho were dropped due to attitude-related issues.

While Garnacho has since returned to the squad, Rashford has spent much of the season away from first-team action.

Man United also have high-earning forwards Antony and Jadon Sancho currently out on loan. Antony has enjoyed a solid run at Real Sociedad, scoring four goals and providing four assists in 12 games.
In contrast, Sancho has struggled to make an impact at Chelsea since his move to London in August.
“We have a lot of games to play and I am focused on my team and my players,” Amorim said.
“And Rashford is not my player at the moment. But every player that performs well on loan is good news for our club, so we are happy with that.”
