Fernandez has established himself as a key player for the Blues
Chelsea unwilling to sell key midfielder amid Real Madrid interest

Chelsea have reportedly made it clear that Enzo Fernandez will not be sold this summer, despite long-standing interest from Real Madrid.
According to Sky Sports, the Argentina international has long been a target for Los Blancos, but Chelsea have no intention of parting with the £110m signing.
Since joining from Benfica, Fernandez has established himself as a key player for the Blues, even though he hasn’t always met the lofty expectations that came with his hefty price tag.
Nonetheless, it’s clear why Chelsea would want to retain Enzo Fernandez.

While he hasn’t always been in top form for the club, he remains one of the most promising players capable of helping elevate the team to the next level.

His midfield partnership with Moisés Caicedo holds huge potential. While Fernandez remains a cornerstone, some of Chelsea’s other recent signings have been more concerning.
Players like Robert Sánchez, Nicolás Jackson, Mykhailo Mudryk, Pedro Neto, João Félix, and Jadon Sancho have yet to fully justify the faith Chelsea placed in them.
Meanwhile, Caicedo, who joined the club for up to £115m from Brighton in the summer of 2023, is another player Chelsea have no plans to sell, despite reports linking him with a move to the Saudi Pro League.

The 23-year-old signed an eight-year contract, with the option of an additional year.
Chelsea are expected to be active in the transfer market this summer, but their current priority is securing qualification for the Champions League.
When the window opens, the club will focus on bolstering their squad in key areas – forward, winger, and centre-back.
The forward targets on Chelsea’s radar include Liam Delap, Hugo Ekitike, Benjamin Šeško, Jonathan David, and Victor Osimhen. For wingers, the club is considering Alejandro Garnacho, Jamie Gittens, and Nico Williams.
In defence, Marc Guéhi, Dean Huijsen, and Jarrad Branthwaite are among the top centre-back targets.
