Dani Carvajal appears to confirm Alexander-Arnold’s imminent move to Real Madrid

Dani Carvajal has seemingly confirmed Trent Alexander-Arnold’s expected transfer to Real Madrid by welcoming the prospect of added competition from the Liverpool star.
The Reds’ vice-captain has already announced that he will leave Anfield as a free agent at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Although the full-back’s next club has yet to be officially confirmed, reports widely suggest that the England international is set to join Real Madrid.

Carvajal, Real Madrid’s experienced right-back, appeared to acknowledge Alexander-Arnold’s arrival when he stated he is not intimidated by competition from the England international.
Just last week, the Spaniard hinted that his playing days may soon be over, admitting that his “sporting career is nearing the end.”
Speaking to the media, Carvajal said: “It’s been a long journey.
“My sports career is already nearing the end. I hope not, but I have to be realistic.”

Alexander-Arnold could make his final appearance in a Liverpool shirt on the last Premier League matchday, May 25, when the newly crowned champions host Crystal Palace at Anfield.
Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Dani Carvajal said when quizzed on Alexander-Arnold’s proposed move to Madrid: “It hasn’t been made official yet, but it seems so.
“Fear? We don’t talk about fear here; we’ll be teammates. Competition improves both of us and brings out the best in each of us.”
Carvajal has made 427 appearances throughout his career with the club and has won 27 trophies to his name so far.
The Spain international has been absent from the entire season for Ancelotti after suffering an anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) early in the campaign.
