Lautaro Martinez has left the Argentina camp with muscle discomfort and won’t be available for the games against Brazil and Uruguay in their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
The Inter Milan center forward missed full training sessions with La Seleccion ahead of their fixture against Uruguay with the hope of returning to full fitness in the next tie against Brazil but has disappointingly been ruled out of both encounters.

However, it was announced this evening that Lautaro Martinez has been sent back to Italy for a review by Inter medics.

The statement claims that “he has been diagnosed with a muscular lesion in his lower left hamstring.” If confirmed, this would be far more serious than initially viewed and put the crucial Champions League quarter-final ties against Bayern Munich at risk.
The 27-year-old has scored 18 goals with six assists in 39 competitive games so far this season for the Nerazzurri.
