Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has yet again received huge backing from the club’s hierarchy following the club’s worst start in the Premier League in 33 years.

United made their worst start to the season over the weekend after losing 3-0 in the Manchester derby to city rivals Manchester City, raising more questions about Amorim’s stay at Old Trafford.

However, according to reports, the club has no intention of sacking the Portuguese head coach anytime soon – at least, for now.

Insider sources confirm United have no intention of sacking former Sporting CP manager despite consistent poor results and increasing fan frustration calling for his dismissal before the situation deteriorates further.

The Red Devils have seen eight new managers and two caretakers arrive at the club since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure 12 years ago, but none have been able to replicate the kind of results chalked up by the legend – this has become a growing concern.

However, the club is in no rush to wield the axe and go in for a ninth man, with no guarantee of success. They would rather stick with him and hope things turn around quickly.

Amorim guided the club in their worst campaigns last season, while recording their lowest ever Premier League points tally (42), and their most Premier League defeats (15).

Compounding matters, a 1-0 Europa League defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, coupled with United’s 15th-place position in the Premier League last season, marked a challenging start for Amorim in England.

United’s leadership remains unfazed following this weekend’s loss to their fierce rivals, viewing the team’s struggles as part of a long-term rebuilding project, though they won’t wait indefinitely for improvement.

There is little to no appetite for abandoning the current strategy, replacing the manager, and starting over from scratch.

Club legends, including Wayne Rooney, Roy Keane, and Gary Neville, are voicing concerns that enough is enough, highlighting the mounting pressure on Amorim to deliver swift results.

Amorim is fully aware of the mounting scrutiny and is determined to turn things around quickly as United prepare to face Chelsea this weekend before a frustrated Old Trafford crowd. A victory could secure him crucial time to rebuild the fans’ waning confidence.
