Ghana will face Panama in their opening group L game in Canada
Carlos Queiroz has named a 28-man squad for the Black Stars’ World Cup preparation camp and international friendly against Wales national football team in Cardiff.
The squad consists of five goalkeepers, nine defenders, seven midfielders, and seven forwards as Ghana steps up preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Black Stars opened camp on Monday, May 25, 2026, and trained at Dragon Park in Cardiff ahead of the friendly on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
Among the major returnees is Baba Abdul Rahman, who earns his first call-up since September 2023 after an impressive season with PAOK FC.
The former Chelsea FC left-back has registered three goals and three assists in 35 appearances across all competitions this season.
Ernest Nuamah also returns after nearly a year out following recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament injury. The Olympique Lyonnais winger is back to full fitness and ready for national team action.
Other notable returnees include Abdul Mumin of Rayo Vallecano, who returns after a lengthy injury layoff, Augustine Boakye of AS Saint-Étienne, and Alidu Seidu of Stade Rennais FC.
Youngster Paul Reverson of AFC Ajax has also been handed a call-up for further assessment as part of the team’s long-term plans after impressing at youth level in the Netherlands.
However, Ghana will be without two key players for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as Mohammed Kudus and Mohammed Salisu are both set to miss the tournament due to injuries.
Ghana will use the Wales friendly as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where the Black Stars will face Panama, England, and Croatia in Group L.
